Creativity in Visual Arts

This series of articles is prepared in submission for my assessment in the course "Creativity in Visual Arts". This is a term paper that summarises my thoughts as I went through the course. It is by no means restricted to the course itself, for to do so is to subscribe to a positivistic and disconnected idea of knowledge, the very idea that I refute within this paper. I have included many ideas in this paper, so I have not been able to be as detailed as I would like to. But since I have tried my best to write this in an intuitive manner, hopefully anyone can have a good sense of what I'm trying to say. I have enjoyed creating this though towards the end I became rather stressed as work demands from all directions intensified.

In creating this, I've tried my best to remain rational, but I must admit that there were moments when I was affected emotionally. Perhaps it's a combination of factors like my leaving my current school, my wariness of the education system, and the accumulation of emotions and thoughts over the last 5 years as a teacher. The meaning, of being a teacher, is both bitter and sweet for me. I thank my students and fellow educators for sweetening this experience. Especially to my students, who have taught me more than I have taught them. May they be well and happy.
